We are relocating to Laapersveld 68 (1213 VB) in Hilversum as from October 5, 2021.

Last year was a year of growth and new initiatives for Polestar Capital. Under our new name Polestar Capital (previously Finquiddity Vermogensbeheer) the 

 has been further expanded, we have been selected as execution/operational manager of the 

, and we are working hard on the launch of our new Polestar Capital Circular Debt Fund. This calls for a larger office.

Polestar Capital relocates

Met een bedrag van maar liefst 100 miljoen euro opende Polestar Capital recent het grootste circulaire economie investeringsfonds in Europa.

Het fonds gaat leningen verstrekken aan innovatieve circulaire projecten. Nederland is het eerste land dat zo’n groot circulair investeringsfonds opent.

Nog dit jaar wordt een doorgroei verwacht naar een slordige € 400 miljoen.

Polestar Capital Circular Debt Fund (PCDF) zet in op aanjagen circulaire economie – Milieu magazine juni 2022

As of January 1st 2021, Polestar Capital will administrate the National Heating Fund. It will do so in partnership with Zanders. Polestar Capital’s main role in this capacity will be to evaluate applications for funding and grant loans from the fund.

This assignment will enable Polestar Capital to broaden its activities: it will now extend loans to private individuals, owner associations and schools – and not only companies. It will also allow Polestar Capital to increase the scope of its sustainability efforts.

The NWF provides low-interest, long-term funding to assist homeowners, owner associations and schools in implementing energy-saving measures. Currently, the fund is financed by the central government, Rabobank, ASN Bank, ING, the 

 Council of Europe Development Bank (CEB) and the European Investment Bank (EIB).

The fund is worth approximately €1.2 billion, half of which has already been invested. The NWF is a revolving fund. The earned interest and repayments will be used to fund new loans to make even more real estate sustainable.

We are looking forward to funding many sustainable projects for the NWF in the coming years!

Polestar Capital is vanaf 1 januari 2021 uitvoerder van het Nationaal Warmtefonds. Dit doet zij samen met Zanders. In deze rol houdt Polestar Capital zich met name bezig met het beoordelen van financieringsaanvragen en het verstrekken van leningen uit het fonds. De opdracht vormt een mooie verbreding van Polestar Capital’s activiteiten: niet alleen leningen aan bedrijven, maar nu ook expliciet aan particulieren, 

’s en scholen. Zo kan Polestar Capital nog breder de verduurzaming aanjagen.

Het NWF verstrekt laagrentende langjarige financiering voor het realiseren van energiebesparende maatregelen door woningeigenaren, vereniging van eigenaren en scholen. Het fonds is momenteel gefinancierd door de Rijksoverheid, Rabobank, ASN Bank, ING, de Council of Europe Development Bank (CEB) en de European Investment Bank (EIB). Het fonds is ca. € 1,2 miljard groot, waarvan de helft reeds is uitgezet. Het NWF is een revolverend fonds. Binnenkomende rente en aflossingen worden uitgezet via nieuwe leningen, waardoor nog meer vastgoed kan worden verduurzaamd.

Wij hebben veel zin om de komende jaren voor het NWF vele verduurzamingsprojecten te mogen financieren!

Polestar Capital wordt uitvoeringsorganisatie Nationaal Warmtefonds (NWF)

announced the launch of the biggest circular economy fund in Europe. The fund, called the Polestar Capital Circular Debt Fund (PCDF), has opened at €100 million, and expects to grow to €400 million within a year.

is the first investor in the fund. The fund will extend loans to innovative Dutch circular economy projects, thereby facilitating finance that is urgently required but hard to obtain elsewhere. The combined amount of capital entrusted to Polestar Capital comes close to €1 billion after this first close of the PCDF.

Polestar Capital bridges the funding gap, driving growth on a global scale

With the PCDF, we aim to invest in around thirty circular projects with the potential to create systemic ecological impact in the areas of carbon emission and waste reduction and the replacement of fossil fuels, but which are currently not realised due to a lack of funding. In contrast with the Polestar Capital Circular Debt Fund, banks usually find such projects too innovative, and for venture capitalists, they are generally too capital intensive to finance in full. By closing the funding gap, PCDF allows circular production companies to prove their technologies and business models on a commercial scale. In this way, the fund paves the road to future large-scale applications, altering linear value chains into circular value chains for good. Polestar Capital’s initiative allows the Netherlands to play a pivotal role in the global transition towards a circular economy, and contributes to the Dutch government’s ambition to be fully circular by 2050.
